Veritas NetBackup is an enterprise-level heterogeneous backup and recovery suite. It provides cross-platform backup functionality to a large variety of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems.
Below is an explanation on how to configure it in order to have it working with Cynny Space Object Storage.
Login the NetBackup Master Server Admin Console -> Host Properties -> Master Servers and double click on your Master Server
Click on Cloud Storage then Add
Fill the General Settings as shown below
Then configure the Region Settings as explained below
Add a new region
Region name: EU
Location constraint: EU
Service host: cs2.cynnyspaces3.com
Then click OK
Click on top of the tree in the left panel then Configure Cloud Storage Server as follows
Select Amazon (S3) as Cloud Storage providers and go Next
Cloud Storage Server Configuration Wizard has then to be configured as follows. The Service host and Storage server name are the ones previously configured, while Access key ID and Secret access key fields have to be filled using the provided S3 access parameters.
Select Advanced Settings and Untick** Use SSL**
Click Next to Start the configuration
And check the Storage Server Creation Status then click Next
When the task above has been completed select Next to proceed with the disk pool configuration
Select Storage Server Volumes to be added to the disk pool then click Next
Provide a Disk Pool name as follows and go Next
Check the Disk Pool Configuration Summary and go Next
Wait until Disk Pool Creation task is running and go Next
Give a name to Storage unit name and set Maximum fragment size to 20 then click Next
Click on Finish, ready to use your CynnySpace cloud account with Veritas NetBackup
